Even though Medjoul Dates are considered as fruit, dates can still be used in salad preparations.
One of the tasty salads that dates is one of its ingredients is the Baby Spinach with Dates and Almonds. This salad is easily made and healthy.
- 1 tbsp. White vinegar
- ½ medium red onion, thinly sliced
- 100g Pitted Medjoul Dates, quartered lengthways
- 30g Unsalted butter
- 2 tbsp. Olive oil
- 75g whole unsalted almonds, roughly chopped
- 2 tbsp Sumac
- 150g Baby spinach leaves, washed
- 2 tbsp. Lemon juice
- Salt (as preferred)
You just need to wash and slice the spinach, while boiling the Medjoul Dates. After that, you mix the ingredients with the spinach leaves. Finally, you put the Dates and Almonds and mix them all with lemon juice.
